LaserLatvian™ provides professional-quality, hinted, scalable LatvianLS™ fonts in plain, bold, italic, and bold-italic (except the Chancery-style, which is plain only) providing the Latin alphabet plus all the special characters and diacritics needed to type Latvian. The font also covers Norwegian and English. When you order LaserLatvian you receive both TrueType® and Type 1 (PostScript®) font formats. The LaserLatvian layout is keyed to the English keyboard but uses deadkey input for easy typing of the special Latvian characters. You can use LaserLatvian with all your standard applications and mix the LatvianLS font with other fonts in your files.

Available in six typestyles: Times®-, Helvetica®-, Palatino®-, Garamond-, Chancery-, or Courier®-style. All typestyles are provided in plain, bold, italic, and bold-italic styles, except the Chancery-style, which is plain only. See the samples, below.

LaserLatvian for Windows

Includes Keyboard Switcher, a keyboard driver providing both deadkey input and an alternate input method allowing up to four characters on every key. Comes with an Installation and Getting Started Manual, the LaserLatvian User's Manual and a paper keyboard layout chart.

There are two methods of input. With deadkey input you type the semicolon key and nothing happens. Then you type the next character and the accented character is input in the file. For example:

An alternate input method is direct input using the Ctrl and Alt keys. For example:

System Requirements: The fonts install into Microsoft® Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000, and work with all Windows 7-, Vista-, XP-, and 2000-compatible applications that allow the user to select fonts from a font menu. (A previous version is available for Windows NT, Me, 98, or 95; please contact the Sales office.) The product includes a User's Manual and keyboard layout chart(s). The included keyboard driver(s) allows access to four characters per key (instead of the normal two) and alternate keyboard layouts. All documentation is in PDF format, and can be viewed and/or printed using Adobe Reader. The fonts will print to any printer at the highest quality allowed by your printer.

A custom version (fonts only) is available for Linux, but Linux users must provide alternate keyboard input for characters in the extended character set. If you are ordering for Linux be sure to select the Linux box on the Order Form.

Also included with the TrueType and Type 1 LatvianLS scalable fonts are polished bitmap fonts in 10, 12, 14, 18, and 24 point sizes for improved screen display. Also included is a keyboard resource providing both deadkey input and an alternate input method allowing up to four characters on every key.
